Wash and Go Routine 2015

This is my quick and easy go-to hair style.  Lately, I have been using the As I Am Coconut Co-Wash to wash my hair with only conditioner (co-wash) when doing a Wash and Go.  Shampoo can dry out curly hair, for this reason, I don't always use it.  When I use both shampoo and conditioner, I tend to use the As I Am Curl Clarity Shampoo.

I co-wash carefully rubbing my scalp to lift any dirt or product residue off of it.  I usually do this in the shower.

When I get out of the shower, I dry my hair with a towel, gently.  I have heard it is best to use an old t-shirt because the towel can create frizz and dry your hair out too much.  I do believe this is true, but most days, I just grab whatever is nearest, usually it's a towel.

Don't over dry the hair.  You just want to keep it from dripping wet, because once it is styled, it won't be completely dry.  The point of a "Wash and Go" is that you wash your hair and go on about your day, hence the name.  So, it needs to be dry enough for you to carry on with life as usual.

I use Eco Styler gel to define my curls and coils.  I always use either the one with olive oil or argan oil in it.  I love this gel.  I was never a gel person because I was always afraid it would leave my hair hard.  I HATE HARD HAIR!  It is one of my pet peeves in life.  Hair is supposed to be soft and free and move.  It doesn't have to be perfect, it's hair.

I apply the gel to my hair, section by section.

After I apply the gel, that's it.  I like to put one of those thin stretchy headbands on my head.  I'm not sure why.  I guess you can say it's just kind of my style.

I go about my day and allow it to air dry.

This is what my hair looks like once it is completely dried.
