Mrs. C Does Stuff

Meme submitted by Bob Kane I haven't blogged much this year.  That is mainly due to the fact that we have a pretty busy schedule.  Mr. C works two jobs and six days a week.  I work full time as well.  In our spare time, we try to spend time with our Little Mister and carve out some time for our extended family also.  We managed to fit in some great vacations this year, including the Little Mister's first trip to Disney World and a family trip to Washington, DC.  Life is short, and these moments are fleeting.  We have chosen to spend our time making memories. So, in my last post I mentioned that a lot was going on in our world.  We are working on several projects around the house.  We have a new found sense of urgency for these projects because we are expecting our first child in March.  Mr. C and I are truly excited! What does this news mean for the blog?   Well, most likely my postings will decrease.  Although, I would like to maintain a minimum of one weekly post.  It also means I have more new and exciting ideas for projects now related to babies.  I will be making all kinds of things for my new baby.  I will also do a nursery reveal once we finish it.  In addition to these new ideas, I will still post about cooking, sewing, building and refinishing furniture. We still have a list of projects we wanted to work on before we knew we were having a baby.  Our goal is to accomplish as much as we can on that list.  Obviously, we may not get a chance to finish them all.  We know we...

I've made some changes to the blog.  Hopefully, I've made the blog better with these new features. The first change you may notice is the new header.  I wanted to spice up the look of the blog a bit. As I have been blogging along, I have been constantly looking for ways to make the blog more user friendly.  I added pages to the top banner of the blog.  Each page has a topic and provides links to specific posts relative to that topic.  Now users can find posts a little quicker than before. Hope you all enjoy the changes!

"We need to talk", those are the scariest words.  You are left to wonder what needs to be talked about, if it is something good or bad.  In our case here, we simply need to talk about some changes to the blog. I enjoy doing this blog, but for me, this is a hobby.  I do not generate any type of income from this blog.  So, in real life, I have a full time job and a slew of other responsibilities.  Posting here five days a week has become quite time consuming.  I am the type of person that when I do something, I do it 100% effort.  As a result, I have kind of let the blog take over my life.  I have forgone doing things with my family and friends to complete projects, take pictures, write and edit.  While doing this, I often lose track of time and when I get up from my computer, an entire Saturday has passed or an evening after work is gone.
